Animal Physiology
Animal Physiology is the study of how animals work. It focuses on the physical, biochemical and biophysical functions of animals and their organs. It provides insight into their behavior, reproduction, nutrition, metabolism, body temperature, growth and development, and homeostasis. Animal Physiology helps us understand how animals interact with their environment and other species, as well as their potential to adapt to changing conditions. It is an important area of study for biologists, zoologists, and biomedical scientists who seek to develop new technologies or treatments to improve the health, safety and conservation of animals. Animal Physiology is also essential for animal welfare and health, as knowledge of physiological processes can be used to design humane and humanely managed animal production systems.
