Animal Migration

Animal migration is one of the most spectacular phenomena in nature. It involves the seasonal movement of animals from one area to another and is a response to changes in food availability, climate, and other factors. Migration provides animals with increased access to food, mates and other resources. It can also help species to avoid predators and increase the chances of survival of their offspring. Furthermore, animal migrations play a key role in ecosystem stability and nutrient cycling. The migration strategies adopted by animals are highly varied, ranging from long distance migrations across continents to short seasonal movements within a country. Conservation and management of animal migration corridors is necessary to ensure the continued survival of their populations.
