Animal Ecology
Animal ecology is the scientific study of the interactions between animals and their environment. It seeks to understand how animals interact with their physical environment and with each other, and how these interactions shape the abundance and distribution of animal species in a given area. Animal ecology is important for understanding the effects of human activities on biodiversity, and can inform the design of conservation, management and land-use plans. It is also important for the understanding of animal behavior, population dynamics and the spread of disease.
