Amphibians
Amphibians are vertebrate animals that live part of their life on land, and part of their life in water. They are an important part of the ecosystem and play vital roles in both land and aquatic habitats. Amphibians have some unique traits that make them interesting creatures, such as the ability to breathe through their skin, and their need to both lay and hatch their eggs in water. Amphibians are also important because they help to keep the environment and food chain in balance, by eating insects and other pests that can harm specific crops and ecosystems. They are a key part of the environment, being both predators and prey, and helping to keep the balance of nature.
