Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS)
Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) is a common disorder that affects many women during the one to two weeks prior to the onset of their menstrual period. Symptoms of PMS may include physical, emotional, and behavioral changes such as mood swings, irritability, fatigue, depression, and bloating. PMS may have a significant impact on a woman's quality of life, and its exact cause is still largely unknown. Treatment may include lifestyle changes such as increasing physical activity and improving diet, as well as medications and supplements. With proper management, PMS can be effectively managed and its symptoms reduced.
