Neurophysiological

Monitoring Neurophysiological monitoring is a technique used to evaluate the functional and physiological status of the central nervous system. It helps physicians to diagnose and treat neurological disorders, such as stroke, brain tumors, and epilepsy. Neurophysiological monitoring techniques include electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), and evoked potentials. These methods allow clinicians to detect and follow the activity of the brain and its associated nerves. In addition, they can provide insight into the progress of a neurological disorder and aid in the selection of therapies. Neurophysiological monitoring is increasingly playing an important role in patient care, and is now considered one of the most important tools for diagnosing and treating neurological diseases.
