National Policy
on artificial intelligence Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a multi-faceted technology that can be used to automate processes and create intelligent systems. It utilizes algorithms, data processing and deep learning to interpret, analyze and process data. AI is increasingly used for tasks such as image recognition, text analysis, natural language processing, decision-making and robotics. National policy on AI is an important initiative by governments to assess, guide and shape the responsible utilisation of AI in public and private sectors. These policies are created to help regulate, govern and guide the use of AI and its ethical and privacy implications, while also driving AI-enabled innovation and economic growth by creating regulatory frameworks to facilitate AI investments, research and entrepreneurship. They also focus on building capacity of the workforce to help maximise the uptake of AI and ensure the technology is applied in a responsible manner that is beneficial to society.
