Mental Health Psychology
Mental Health Psychology is a branch of psychology that focuses on understanding the psychological and emotional causes of mental health problems and illnesses. It seeks to identify, diagnose, and treat mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. Mental Health Psychology also strives to provide individuals with strategies to help them cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and better manage their mental health. Mental Health Psychology practitioners use a variety of evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and psychotherapy to help individuals achieve mental wellness. Additionally, Mental Health Psychology can play an important role in helping individuals to become more resilient in the face of adversity and to live a healthy, meaningful life.
