Intimate Partner Violence
Intimate partner violence (IPV) is a form of physical, sexual, or psychological abuse used by a partner or former partner to assert power and control over the other person. IPV affects individuals of all genders, ages, and cultural backgrounds, making it a significant public health concern. Prevention and intervention in IPV requires a comprehensive approach that involves individuals, families, communities, and policy makers. Evidence-based interventions to reduce IPV must be prioritized in order to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals and communities across the world.
