Instinct
ive drift Instinctive drift is the incessant movement of molecules and ions across a membrane, powered by the chemical energy of various compounds. It plays a crucial role in several processes within single-celled organisms, such as the transport of nutrients and the digestion of food. In multi-cellular organisms, instinctive drift supports the transmission of electrical signals between nerve cells, allowing for the communication within our bodies. Furthermore, instinctive drift has been integral towards the development of advanced medical treatments, such as dialysis and the creation of bio-engineered implants. In many ways, instinctive drift is fundamental for the well-being of all living creatures.
