Domestic Violence
Domestic violence is a serious issue affecting people of all genders and ages. It is an act of physical, sexual, or psychological aggression or intimidation between family members or within intimate relationships. Domestic violence has long-term psychological and physical effects on survivors, including physical injury, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. It also has an adverse effect on children who witness or experience it. Domestic violence can be prevented through public awareness and education, as well as policy changes and interventions from social services. It is important for everyone to be aware of the signs of domestic violence and know how to support survivors or get help for themselves if necessary.
