Clinical
Decision Support Systems Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS) are computer-based systems which provide decision support to healthcare professionals when making medical decisions. These systems analyze patient data and provide clinically relevant information, such as diagnoses and treatments, to assist the healthcare provider in making sound decisions. CDSS have become increasingly important in healthcare, as they can help reduce diagnostic errors, improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs. They also play a key role in improving the quality of care and patient safety. CDSS are currently used in a variety of settings, including primary care, emergency departments, acute care and long-term care.
