Behavioral Ecology

Behavioral ecology is the science that studies how animals interact with their environment through behavioral strategies. It focuses on the strategies and decisions animals make in an effort to maximize their fitness. By understanding animal behavior, we can gain insight into the underlying evolutionary forces that shape it. Behavioral ecology has many useful applications, such as in conservation, animal husbandry, and the design of artificial agents. It is important for understanding how animals adapt to their environment and how environmental changes or human interventions can affect their behavior and fitness.
