Autoimmune Diseases
Autoimmune diseases occur when the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks healthy cells and tissues. This can cause a range of symptoms, depending on the affected body part, and can lead to serious health problems if left untreated. Autoimmune diseases can affect any age, gender or ethnicity, and because they involve the whole body, they can be difficult to diagnose and treat. Understanding and managing autoimmune diseases is important to ensure the best quality of life for those affected. Treatment typically involves medication, lifestyle changes, physical therapy, and in some cases, surgery. With the right treatment and management, people with autoimmune diseases can live productive and fulfilling lives.
