Access to Consciousness
Access to consciousness has been defined as the ability to become aware of thoughts, feelings and desires that exist outside of our conscious awareness. It has been suggested that access to consciousness can be achieved through various psychological and/or spiritual practices, such as meditation, hypnosis, mindfulness, yoga and even through psychedelic experience. Access to consciousness is thought to help individuals gain insight into their inner experiences and to become more mindful, emotionally balanced and spiritually aware. It is also believed to have the potential to increase creativity, reduce stress and improve mood. The potential benefits of increasing access to consciousness are numerous and are continually being explored by researchers and practitioners.
