Wildfire Management
Wildfire management is the practice of controlling wildfires in order to reduce potential negative impacts to public safety, resources, and property. Wildfires play an important role in forest health and natural resource management, providing nutrients and a diverse plant and animal habitat. Effective wildfire management prevents catastrophic fires and allows for controlled burning of fuel build-up, managed grazing, and other practices to reduce wildfire risk.
