Incubation & Hatching

Incubation & Hatching is the process in which eggs are artificially heated, usually to mimic the conditions under which fertilized eggs would hatch in nature. This process is used by professional and hobbyist poultry keepers, as well as zookeepers and researchers, to provide a controlled environment for the development of eggs into chicks. Incubation & Hatching helps to ensure that the chicks are healthy and have the best chance of survival after they hatch. It also allows for a greater number of chicks to be produced in a shorter time period. The process is also used to artificially reproduce endangered species of birds, as a way to conserve these species and help their populations grow.
