Ecology of Reptiles
Reptiles are animals that are adapted to both land and water, and the ecology of reptiles is a branch of ecology which focuses on the study of how reptiles interact with, and respond to their environment. It is important to understand reptile ecology in order to assess their conservation status and develop measures to protect them. This knowledge can help to protect the populations of reptiles that play an important role in maintaining the balance of our ecosystems. Further research into reptile ecology can also help humans gain valuable insight into our own environment, as well as better understanding of the dynamics between predator and prey species, helping us to develop better management strategies and conservation efforts.
