Animals

Animals are a major group of multicellular organisms that are typically heterotrophic, meaning they obtain nutrients from consuming other organisms or by-products. Animals play a vital role in the environment, providing food and shelter for other organisms and their habitats, filtering water and air, and providing predators to help control population size. Animals also provide humans with a range of goods and services, such as food, clothing, labor, and companionship. Furthermore, animals and their habitats are important sources of inspiration, recreation, and education.
