Sunlight

Sunlight is the natural energy source of the Earth, consisting of UV, visible light, and infrared radiation. Sunlight's energy is essential for life on Earth, providing the energy which drives photosynthesis, the process by which plants make food and release oxygen. Sunlight is also a major source of renewable energy, which can be used to generate electricity and heat. Sunlight can also be harnessed by humans to produce photovoltaic or solar cells, which use the energy in sunlight to generate electricity directly. The use of solar energy is growing as a way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change.
