Space Weather
Space weather refers to the constantly changing conditions of the space environment surrounding Earth and other planets, including the Sun, the solar wind and the magnetosphere, which can affect space-based technology and human activities. Space weather is an important factor to consider in order to ensure the safe operation of satellites and other man-made objects in space. Additionally, space weather can have an impact on terrestrial power grids, communications, weather and aviation. By better understanding and predicting space weather, we can take steps to protect our technology, astronauts and infrastructure from its damaging effects.
