Monsoons

Monsoons are large-scale seasonal wind patterns caused by temperature differences between land and water. These winds can bring in heavy rains, especially to parts of the world where precipitation is limited, such as parts of South Asia, Africa, and Australia. Monsoons play a significant role in the global climate and the water cycle, providing the much needed rainfall to millions of people and aiding in the agricultural production. They also provide necessary moisture which helps preserve the biodiversity of ecosystems, including forests and coral reefs. Furthermore, monsoons are linked with tropical cyclones, which can create dangerous weather conditions and can have a significant impact on coastal communities.
