Climate Prediction
Climate prediction is the process of using mathematical models and other data to predict future changes in Earth’s climate. It is an important tool that helps us better understand how our planet’s climate may change both in the short and long term, and how various climate phenomena may influence human societies and ecosystems. Climate prediction models can be used to examine the effects of climate change, to forecast weather and climate for the near future and to plan for extreme events such as floods, droughts and storms. Climate predictions can provide a useful tool to help individuals, businesses and governments plan for and mitigate the potential impacts of climate change.
