Climate Modeling
Climate modeling is the use of mathematical models and computer simulation techniques to study and better understand the earth's climate system. Climate models use a variety of techniques to represent physical systems and processes, including atmospheric dynamics, oceanic and land surface processes, and the interactions between them. Climate models are used to predict future climate conditions and to study past climate shifts. They are an important tool in the study of climate change and its impacts. Climate models are also used to assess the effectiveness of proposed climate policies, such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions, or mitigating other climate impacts.
