Biometeorology
Biometeorology is the study of the effects of weather, climate and environment on living organisms. It enables the measurement and analysis of the physical, chemical and biological interactions between the atmosphere and living organisms. It is important for optimising agriculture, health and recreation. Biometeorology also helps to understand the effects of climate change on humans and other organisms. It is used to predict air quality, disease transmission, extreme weather events, crop yields and other important parameters. It is an important tool for predicting weather and climate related health risks and managing the impact of climate change on humans and other organisms.
