Water Resource Recovery
Facility A Water Resource Recovery Facility (WRRF) is a wastewater treatment plant that helps to clean used water before it is discharged into a body of water such as a stream, river or lake. WRRFs are essential in protecting public health and the environment as they reduce pollution from wastewater and help to maintain water quality. They also provide an efficient and cost-effective way to treat and recycle wastewater for use in other activities, such as agricultural irrigation. WRRFs use a variety of techniques such as sedimentation, filtration and aeration to break down contaminants in the wastewater before it is returned to the environment. WRRFs are a critical component of keeping our water clean and safe for future generations.
