Social Diversity
Social diversity is the presence of individuals with different social identities, such as race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, and socio-economic status, within a given group or organization. It is important because it brings a range of ideas, experiences, and perspectives to the discussion and can lead to innovative solutions to problems. Social diversity can also help build relationships and foster understanding between people from different backgrounds, and can lead to better-informed decision-making. In organizations, it has been shown to lead to improved employee satisfaction and engagement, greater creativity, and better financial performance.
