Parasite immunology is important for understanding the mechanisms of parasite transmission, the pathogenesis of infections, and the development of treatments and vaccines. It is a rapidly growing field of study and has applications in both human and veterinary medicine. Its research findings have led to improved drug design and the development of novel therapies that can reduce the impact of parasitic diseases on global health.
