Transgenic Respiratory Research
Transgenic respiratory research involves the study of a variety of respiratory diseases and disorders, with an emphasis on understanding their underlying genetic causes. This research can improve our understanding of why certain respiratory diseases occur, how they progress and how they can be treated. In addition, transgenic technology can be used to develop new treatments for diseases such as cystic fibrosis, asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Transgenic respiratory research has the potential to result in improved diagnostic tools, therapies and prevention strategies for a variety of respiratory diseases.
