Genetically Engineered Animals
Genetically engineered animals are animals that have had their genomes altered through genetic engineering techniques. These animals are created in order to produce desired traits, such as improved disease resistance, faster growth, greater nutrient uptake, higher yield, and greater drug efficacy. Genetically engineered animals have a wide range of applications, including food production, medical research, and pharmaceutical production. They also have the potential to be used as a tool for conservation efforts, such as the reintroduction of endangered species or the production of transgenic animals for use in biomedical research. By modifying animals for desired traits, genetic engineering allows for the development of better and more sustainable solutions to the many challenges faced in food production, medicine, and conservation.
