Naturally Derived Biomaterials

Naturally derived biomaterials are materials obtained from nature, such as plants, animals, and microorganisms. These materials are used in a variety of medical and industrial applications due to their unique properties. In medicine, naturally derived biomaterials can be used for tissue engineering, drug delivery, and medical implants. In industry, they are used for consumer products and packaging materials. Compared to synthetic materials, naturally derived biomaterials are more compatible with human biology and provide superior functional and mechanical properties. Furthermore, they are environmentally friendly and sustainable.
