Sulfate Chondroitin sulfate is a naturally occurring compound found in cartilage. It is a key component of the extracellular matrix, which serves as a shock absorber and plays an important role in the structure and function of joint tissue. Its long-chain sugar molecules help provide elasticity and support to the connective tissues of the body. Chondroitin sulfate is commonly used in nutritional supplements to help provide relief from osteoarthritis and joint pain due to its anti-inflammatory properties, inhibit cartilage degradation, provide cushioning and lubrication for joints, and improve flexibility.
