Calcification

Calcification is a process in which calcium deposits form in body tissues, such as muscle and bone. This process is essential for proper development, allowing bones to grow and muscles to repair and regenerate. Calcification can also play a role in the formation of some diseases, as calcium build-up can interfere with blood vessels, organs, and other bodily functions. Additionally, calcification can be used for medical diagnostics, as imaging technology can reveal the presence or absence of calcium deposits.
