Biomolecules

Biomolecules are large molecules – such as proteins, nucleic acids, and carbohydrates – that are essential to life. They are found in all living organisms, and they are necessary for many metabolic processes, including the transmission of genetic information, the production of energy, and the maintenance of cellular structures. In addition, they play an important role in the immune system and in human health. Biomolecules can be used for a variety of medical applications, such as drug delivery, gene therapy, diagnostics, and drug discovery. In recent years, there has been an increased focus on developing new biotechnologies to make use of these molecules, which may lead to more effective treatments for a wide range of diseases.
