Neoplasm Metastasis
Neoplasm metastasis is the spread of cancerous cells from the primary tumor to other tissue or organs in the body. As metastasis is the cause of most cancer deaths, it is a crucial aspect of cancer research. Metastasis is the process by which cancer cells break away from the primary tumor, enter the circulation and migrate to other tissue where they can establish secondary tumors. Targeting metastasis is an important factor in developing better treatments for cancer.
