Multimodal Treatment
Multimodal treatment is an approach to treating a range of physical, mental, and emotional ailments, which utilizes the integration of two or more modalities of treatment. This approach provides a comprehensive array of therapeutic services, including, but not limited to, psychological therapy, physical therapy, medication, and lifestyle changes, to improve overall health and wellbeing. It is an evidence-based, innovative method of holistic care which is being increasingly utilized by practitioners to draw on the best available evidence and to optimize clinical outcomes. Multimodal treatment has been linked to improved outcomes in conditions such as depression, chronic pain, substance abuse, and other health and psychological issues.
