Iodide Peroxidase

Iodide peroxidase is an enzyme that catalyzes the oxidation reaction of iodide by hydrogen peroxide. It is a useful tool for researchers in the fields of biochemistry, plant physiology, and pharmacology, as it can be used to study the effects of oxidative stress on cell metabolism, and the toxicity of certain compounds in organisms. Iodide peroxidase has also been used in clinical tests to determine the levels of certain hormones and toxins in the human body. Iodide peroxidase has the potential to be used in medical treatment, such as cancer therapy, and in environmental biomonitoring.
