Hyperthyroidism Symptoms

Hyperthyroidism is a medical condition that involves an excess of thyroid hormone in the blood. Symptoms of hyperthyroidism can include weight loss, rapid heart rate, feeling tired or weak, anxiety and irritability, or changes in menstrual cycle. If left untreated, hyperthyroidism can cause serious health problems, including an enlarged thyroid gland, heart problems, and even an increased risk of death. Treatment options for managing hyperthyroidism include taking medications, undergoing a radioactive iodine treatment, or having surgery to remove the thyroid gland. Early diagnosis and treatment of hyperthyroidism is important to ensure optimal health and well-being.
