Adjuvant Therapy
Adjuvant therapy is a type of medical treatment used in combination with other treatments, such as surgery or chemotherapy, to help improve patient outcomes. Adjuvant therapy typically involves the administration of medications or other agents to enhance the effectiveness of existing treatments. The effectiveness of adjuvant therapy is based on its ability to reduce the risk of recurrence and improve overall survival for cancer patients, as well as its potential to reduce the severity of side effects associated with other treatments. Adjuvant therapy has become a major component of cancer care and is widely used in the treatment of numerous cancers, including breast, lung, colorectal, and head and neck cancers.
