Body Temperature
Body temperature is a measure of the average internal temperature of a person or other organism. It is usually measured orally, in the armpit, or rectally, and is typically around 98.6°F (37°C). Body temperature can vary depending on the individual, the time of day, and the environment. Body temperature is an important indicator of overall health and wellbeing and is used in the diagnosis and treatment of a range of medical conditions. Abnormal body temperature can indicate the presence of fever or infection, and as such can provide clues to the help of medical professionals to determine the underlying cause of illness.
