Anticoagulant Therapy
Anticoagulant therapy is the use of drugs to prevent the formation of blood clots. This treatment helps reduce the risk of stroke, deep vein thrombosis, and other harmful conditions caused by the buildup of clots in the bloodstream. It is used for people who have an increased risk of developing clot-related illnesses, such as those with an irregular heart rhythm, advanced age, or a history of heart attack or stroke. Anticoagulant drugs can be taken as a pill or an injection and are important for helping to keep the blood flowing normally and preventing dangerous clots from forming.
