Systems Biology
Systems biology is a multidisciplinary field of study that seeks to understand the behavior of complex biological systems. It combines elements of mathematics, computer science, and molecular biology and genetics to explain the workings of cells, organs, and other living systems at different scales. The aim is to uncover the principles that govern the system's behavior and to design tools that can be used to manipulate or optimize this behavior. Systems biology has been used to develop new treatments for diseases, find new ways of diagnosing diseases, and better understand the spread of infectious diseases. It has also been used in the design and optimization of bioproducts and biosystems.
