Network Topology

Network topology is a mathematical way of mapping the layout of a network using nodes and lines. It is a fundamental part of network engineering, as it allows network engineers to identify and analyze the structure of a network, its connection points, its various components, and how they are all interacting. Network topology has many important applications, such as providing insights into the most efficient ways to connect and use devices in a network, enabling more secure networks, and understanding the potential performance issues of a system. Network topology is also used to develop new technologies, such as the Internet of Things, and for the modeling of the spread of viruses in a digital system.
