Exercise and Diabetes Management
Exercise is an important part of the comprehensive management of diabetes. Exercise helps to regulate blood sugar levels and helps to reduce cardiovascular risk factors. It also helps with weight management, reduces stress and increases overall physical and mental wellbeing. It is recommended that people with diabetes should be physically active for at least 30 minutes a day, five days a week. Diabetics should consult their doctor for an individualized exercise program that takes into account medical history, current health condition and any potential risks. Exercise can help people with diabetes lead healthier and longer lives.
