Concussion
A concussion is a type of brain injury that temporarily affects the way your brain functions. It occurs when the brain is violently shaken, often as a result of a blow to the head or a sudden jolt to the body. Symptoms of a concussion include headaches, memory problems, confusion, dizziness and difficulty concentrating. Concussions can have long-term effects, so it is important to seek medical attention if you or someone you know experiences any of these symptoms. It is also important to be cautious when playing sports or engaging in any activities that could lead to a head injury. With proper diagnosis and treatment, a concussion can be managed.
