Medication

-Assisted Treatment Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is a comprehensive approach to treating addiction that combines medications with behavioral therapy. MAT helps to reduce drug cravings, which in turn reduces the risk of relapsing and can help individuals remain in treatment. This type of treatment is valuable to those who are struggling with substance use disorder and wish to build a life of recovery. Additionally, MAT has been shown to reduce the spread of infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS and hepatitis C among drug users. Furthermore, studies have also demonstrated that MAT can reduce criminal activity and improve overall health outcomes. Therefore, medication-assisted treatment is an effective approach to gathering and balancing the complex needs of individuals with substance use disorder.
