Liver Function Test
A Liver Function Test (LFT) is a blood test used to assess normal liver function as well as to detect, diagnose and monitor liver disease. The test is often used to measure levels of certain enzymes, proteins and other substances that can indicate the presence of liver damage or disease. It is a useful tool for diagnosing a variety of conditions, such as hepatitis, cirrhosis, liver cancer or other liver-related diseases. Additionally, it can help in the management of such conditions and track the progress of treatment. A Liver Function Test can help identify and monitor the severity of the condition and lead to early interventions to improve the outcome.
