Liver, Artificial

The liver is an organ essential for life, playing a major role in many bodily functions, such as digestion, metabolism, and detoxification. An artificial liver is a technology designed to mimic the functions of the human liver. It has been a major focus of research due to the importance of the liver in health and the many complications that arise when it is not functioning properly. Artificial livers are used to treat liver illnesses, such as liver failure, and can be employed in the development of new drugs for treating liver diseases, as well as for medical testing purposes. With advances in technology, artificial livers could eventually become a viable treatment option for those with liver failure, revolutionizing the medical field.
