Chloroquine

Chloroquine is an antimalarial drug used to treat and prevent malaria. It works by interfering with the growth of parasites in the red blood cells of the human body. By doing so, it helps to reduce the severity and duration of malaria-related symptoms, including fever, headaches, nausea, and vomiting. Chloroquine is effective in both treating and preventing malaria, especially in areas where the disease is known to be widespread. This makes it an important drug for travelers visiting tropical regions, as well as for those living in areas endemic with malaria.
