Apolipoproteins
Apolipoproteins are proteins that are combined with lipids (fats) to form lipoproteins. These lipoproteins are important for transporting lipids between cells and tissues in the body, as well as transporting cholesterol and other fat molecules to the liver for disposal. Furthermore, they are involved in the production and assembly of lipids, which are needed for cell signalling and the regulation of metabolic processes. Apolipoproteins play an important role in many of the body’s metabolic processes and are essential for maintaining health. By aiding in the transport of lipids and cholesterol, apolipoproteins can help prevent the buildup of fats in the arteries and reduce the risk of heart disease. Additionally, apolipoproteins have been linked to many other health benefits, such as reducing inflammation and preventing other metabolic diseases.
